Apple juice has become my favorite sweetener.
Try cooking your oatmeal with unsweetened apple juice instead of water. This is really a treat and so simple to implement. I like to top it with raisins and plain non-fat yogurt, or try dates with almond or soy milk for variety.
Herbal fruit teas get a big taste boost with the addition of plain apple juice as well. Try putting half water and half fruit juice into a cup with the tea bag and microwave. Voila! Forget wierd tasting sugar “substitutes”, this tastes better than sugar.
